About the Role
Our client, a leading international insurance firm, is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Auditor (w/m/d) to join their Internal Audit team at their headquarters in Düsseldorf. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, and risk management by performing independent audits across various business units. You will work closely with stakeholders to provide valuable insights that drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and report on internal audits covering financial, operational, and compliance areas.
- Assess the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.
- Conduct data-driven audits leveraging SAP and Data Analytics tools to identify inefficiencies and risks.
- Collaborate with different departments to ensure best practices and regulatory compliance.
- Provide actionable recommendations to senior management based on audit findings.
- Support the continuous enhancement of audit methodologies and procedures.
- Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.
- Work within a dynamic international team and contribute to global audit initiatives.
Your Profile
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Several years of professional experience in internal or external audit, ideally within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of SAP and proficiency in Data Analytics methodologies and tools.
- Excellent analytical skills and a structured approach to problem-solving.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with senior management.
- Fluency in German and English (both written and spoken) is essential.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIA, CISA, CPA) are a plus.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
