Senior Frontend Architect - Real-Time Signal Systems
A high-frequency trading firm in Chicago is looking for a seasoned frontend technologist to join a low-latency systems group focused on autonomous market signal engines. The role centers on building and enhancing dynamic visualization layers, with opportunities to influence deeper system components and data access pathways.
You'll operate in a flat, high-autonomy structure where strong initiative and direct collaboration with domain experts is expected. Our builders work closely with decision-makers and system designers to craft highly responsive and intuitive interfaces that enable rapid awareness and control across a complex, real-time operational environment.
- 5+ years of experience with web development (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS required, with at least some of WebSockets, TypeScript, ReactJS, Vue, Knockout, WASM, etc.)
- 3+ years of experience with UX design
- Experience with evaluating multiple feature requests, identifying what the user needs, and providing a solution that meets their need and is consistent across the platform.
- Mature practices in unit testing and automated, UI driven acceptance testing
- Experience with high availability systems
- Experience with optimizing applications for Chrome
- Experience developing server-side systems (helpful but not required)
- Experience developing on Linux and a familiarity with the command line
- Experience with DevOps or system administration (helpful but not required)
- Experience with trading systems (helpful but not required)
