C++ Software Engineer - Algorithmic Trading
A leading proprietary trading firm is looking for a Software Engineer to help build and optimize its low-latency, high-performance trading systems. What You'll Do
- Develop and optimize high-speed, mission-critical trading applications in C++ on Linux.
- Work on low-latency systems, multithreading, and real-time data processing.
- Build and refine execution algorithms, order routing, and risk management tools.
- Collaborate closely with traders, quants, and infrastructure teams to improve system performance.
- Profile and optimize networking, memory usage, and system performance for sub-millisecond execution.
What We're Looking For
✅ 4+ years of experience with a high-level programming language (C++, Java, or Python).
✅ Strong knowledge of multithreading, performance optimization, and memory management.
✅ Experience with Linux/Unix environments and low-level system tuning.
✅ Familiarity with networking (TCP/UDP), hardware acceleration (FPGA/GPU), or distributed systems is a plus.
✅ Previous exposure to high-frequency trading (HFT), market making, or hedge funds is a bonus-but strong engineers from all industries are welcome.
✅ A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
