Job Title: Technical Program Manager
Work Model: 3x a week in office, Manhattan based
Comp: 200-400k total comp (inclusive of base and bonus)
Summary: A successful 8 billion dollar multi strat fund is seeking a program manager to join to serve as the central point of coordination and communication for complex, high-impact projects. Responsibilities will include owning program and project communication, managing Jira administration, and visualizing dependencies and work streams to promote efficient prioritization aligned with business goals.
Qualifications:
- 5-20 years in program management, project management, or a related role, preferably in the financial services (ideally hedge fund or quant trading) or technology sector.
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and other agile tools; experience with workflow charting tools
- Demonstrated experience with Scrum, Kanban, or other agile frameworks; Scrum Master certification is a plus.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex information for diverse audiences.
- Work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
- Ability to discuss technical topics including programming and software engineering principles.
- A strong understanding of portfolio management and trade execution systems is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary communicator and point of contact for large, cross-functional initiatives, providing regular status updates to senior management, stakeholder groups, and development teams.
- Proactively identify and escalate risks, dependencies, and key decision points to stakeholders.
- Oversee Jira configuration, including workflows, dashboards, reporting, and entitlements.
- Serve as the Scrum Master for relevant teams, facilitating story creation, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Design and implement analytics to extract actionable insights from Jira data, supporting continuous improvement.
- Create and maintain clear, intuitive visualizations of dependencies, milestones, and work streams.
- Maintain a comprehensive program roadmap that incorporates dependencies, risks, and key deliverables
