Quantitative Trading Analyst - NYC - $300,000-$400,000 Total Compensation
Summary: A leading equity market making firm in NYC is seeking a Quantitative Trading Analyst. This is a unique opportunity where you can use a blend of both your quantitative and communication skills in the firm's client facing needs. You will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of speaking on quantitative strategies and assist clients with any issues they may be facing. Clients include tier 1 hedge funds, prop trading firms, and asset managers. The team is seeking someone who has strong communication skills, experience working with large datasets, has conducted post trade analysis, and has a quantitative background.
Key Responsibilities:
- Platform Monitoring: regularly check the firm's platform for performance, uptime, and functionality. Identify any issues promptly to ensure smooth operation.
- Client Communication: act as the primary point of contact for clients. Provide timely and clear communication to address any issues, offer solutions, and simplify quantitative language if needed.
- Handle Large Datasets: ensure data integrity and accuracy. Utilize statistical and analytical tools to interpret data trends and patterns.
- Own Post Trade Analysis: conduct thorough analysis of trades after execution to optimize bilateral trading relationships and trading on ATSs. Generate detailed post trade reports and share insights with relevant stakeholders to inform future trading strategies.
- Triaging: assess and prioritize incoming issues and ensure problems are addresses promptly. Coordinate with relevant teams to resolve issues efficiently for clients.
- Develop monitoring tools and using tools to ensure optimal trading behavior
Job Requirements:
- Undergrad degree in a STEM field [computer science, mathematics, statistics, etc.]
- 0-3 years of experience in a technical business role [internship or full-time]
- Prior experience working with large datasets
- Strong communication skills
- Programming skills in Python, SQL
