Director eTrading JAVA Quant Developer
A leading investment bank is looking for a Director level JAVA Quant Developer to work on a greenfield build out of electronic fixed income trading. The bank have a very high performing business based in the US, and want to replicate the same success in EMEA.
You would be leveraging from the existing US platform but given the freedom to design the trading system as you see fit. The team will start with electronification of swap and bond trading, and branch out to other products within fixed income over time. You will be working closely with 2 quant research / trading profiles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of a greenfield rates algorithmic trading system.
- Design, develop, and optimize electronic trading systems.
- Collaborate with traders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure the robustness, scalability, and performance of trading algorithms.
- Integrate trading algorithms with market data feeds and execution systems.
- Monitor and analyze algorithm performance in real-time, making adjustments as necessary.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in JAVA development within the financial sector.
- Proven expertise in quantitative modeling and algorithmic trading systems.
- Strong understanding of rates trading and financial markets.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
