Key Responsibilities:
- Credit Monitoring: Continuously monitor the creditworthiness of counterparties, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Identify and escalate issues requiring enhanced surveillance.
- Financial Analysis: Independently analyze financial statements to identify key metrics and trends. Conduct documented assessments of clearing members' risk management policies, procedures, and systems.
- Counterparty Management: Manage the application process for new counterparties and prepare documentation for senior management and Board Risk Committee approval.
- Project Leadership: Lead high-priority department projects with minimal oversight, collaborate on cross-department initiatives, and mentor colleagues.
- Expert Support: Act as a department expert for other Financial Risk Management teams, addressing complex counterparty inquiries and supporting system, data, and risk methodology development.
- Data Analytics: Develop and conduct advanced data analytics to identify meaningful relationships across large data sets. Communicate analytical insights to support executive decision-making.
- Policy Development: Develop, maintain, and enhance written policies and procedures. Participate in control testing activities and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Regulatory Compliance: Supervise adherence to regulatory reporting obligations and support audits and exams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and financial modeling tools.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
