Job Title: Vice President, Leveraged Finance

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President in Leveraged Finance to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in originating, structuring, and executing leveraged finance transactions, including leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, and refinancing. This position requires a deep understanding of credit analysis, financial modeling, and market trends, as well as strong leadership and client management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transaction Origination: Identify and develop new business opportunities in the leveraged finance market. Build and maintain relationships with private equity firms, corporate clients, and other stakeholders. Origination is a critical aspect of this role, requiring proactive engagement and strategic thinking to generate deal flow.
  • Deal Structuring: Lead the structuring and negotiation of leveraged finance transactions. Develop innovative financing solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Credit Analysis: Conduct thorough credit analysis and due diligence on potential transactions. Assess credit risk, leverage ratios, and covenant structures.
  • Financial Modeling: Create and review complex financial models to support transaction proposals.
  • Market Research: Stay abreast of market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the transaction lifecycle. Ensure exceptional client service and satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise junior team members. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Compliance: Ensure all transactions comply with internal policies and external regulations. Maintain high standards of documentation and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, CFA) preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in leveraged finance, investment banking, or a related field. Proven track record of successful transaction execution, with a strong emphasis on origination.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
    • Excellent financial modeling and valuation expertise.
    • Superior negotiation and communication skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
