Senior Futures Quantitative Researcher
An established $20bbn Global Macro Hedge Fund in NYC is looking for a Senior Quantitative Researcher adept at systematic futures strategy development to join their team. The fund carries 20+ years of exceptional track-record in the quant space and is looking to onboard someone to spearhead the development of new strategies to deploy capital on + mentoring junior researchers underneath them.
The incoming Senior Quant Researcher will be welcomed into an academic research environment where collaboration reigns supreme as the broader QR team focuses on alpha signal research for different instruments (futures + fx primarily) across varying holding periods. They will have access to a wide assortment of datasets for signal research, centralized research/trading platforms to conduct their work and cutting edge execution services to drive the performance of their strategies.
The ideal candidate for this function will have:
- 4+ years alpha research experience (buyside, futures experience)
- Intraday signal research is preferred, however, open to mid-frequency (days/weeks horizons) as well
- ML experience is a plus
- Strong Python coding
- Rigorous math/stats modeling skillset
- Previous experience and/or desire to mentor some of the junior QRs in the fund
- Thrives in a collaborative, team driven space
