Position Overview:
My client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Professional A&E Underwriter to join its dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in underwriting complex risks within the Architecture & Engineering industry, assessing potential liabilities, and providing customized insurance solutions to clients. Responsibilities:
- The Senior Professional A&E Underwriter will evaluate and underwrite Professional Liability insurance policies for Architecture & Engineering firms, considering factors such as project scope, contractual obligations, and risk exposures.
- Conducting a thorough analysis of client submissions, including project documentation, financial statements, and claims history, to accurately assess risk profiles and determine appropriate coverage terms.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients, providing expert guidance on coverage options, risk management strategies, and underwriting guidelines.
- The Senior Professional A&E Underwriter will manage an assigned portfolio of accounts, monitoring performance, and implementing strategies to optimize profitability while ensuring exceptional service delivery.
- Mentor and support junior underwriters, sharing expertise and best practices to foster professional development and enhance team performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, or related field; advanced degree or professional designation (e.g., CPCU, ARM) preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in underwriting Professional Lines, with a focus on the Architecture & Engineering sector.
- Exposure to Allied Health, Cyber and Miscellaneous Professional Liability
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
