Role Overview: As a key member of the Internal Audit team, you will play a crucial role in independently evaluating the organization's control environment. This includes assessing governance processes, risk management, and compliance frameworks. Your insights will help enhance the firm's control culture and mitigate evolving risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- In-depth Understanding: You will need to bring a comprehensive understanding of the Global Markets divisions within banking, including derivatives, swaps, trading, and other related activities.
- Audit Management: Plan, scope, and execute audits, including fieldwork and test plans, ensuring high-quality documentation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Conduct walkthroughs with stakeholders to assess control designs and lead audit testing.
- Risk Assessment: Collaborate with various audit teams to identify risks, evaluate mitigating controls, and recommend improvements.
- Reporting: Communicate audit findings and conclusions to senior management and business stakeholders.
- Issue Resolution: Follow up on open audit issues and validate their resolution.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in initiatives to enhance Internal Audit's processes and infrastructure.
- Relationship Management: Maintain key stakeholder relationships and engage with the business to assess changes in the risk and control environment.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
- Experience: 8-10 years of experience in Internal Audit, Compliance, or Risk/Controls functions.
- Skills: Strong analysis, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to articulate issues and ideas clearly across different levels of stakeholders.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CIA) are a plus.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and experience with data analysis tools.
