An established and innovative investment firm is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Business Developer to join their team, with a focus on expanding their Long-Only Global Equity Fund. This investment firm operates two distinct funds: a Long-Only Global Equity Fund and an Alternate Fund. The Long-Only Global Equity Fund focuses on identifying rare, exceptional companies with ethically sound business practices that are undervalued relative to their high-quality characteristics.
The Business Developer will be based in the North of England and will be primarily responsible for cultivating relationships with retail clients, promoting the fund's investment strategy, and driving new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with retail clients, including individual investors and investment advisors. Provide exceptional service to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the client base. Actively engage with potential clients, present the value proposition of the Long-Only Global Equity Fund, and convert prospects into clients.
- Investment Promotion: Communicate the unique benefits and strategies of the Long-Only Global Equity Fund to clients. Develop and deliver presentations, reports, and marketing materials that highlight the fund's investment approach, ethical considerations, and performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the investment team to stay informed about fund performance, investment strategies, and market developments. Provide feedback from clients to help refine and enhance the firm's investment approach and communication strategies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management within financial services or a relevant industry, with a focus on investment funds or asset management.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as CFA or equivalent are advantageous.
- Investment Knowledge: Strong understanding of investment products, particularly equity funds, and market dynamics.
- Track Record: Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships and achieve business development goals.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the skill to clearly and persuasively explain complex investment concepts.
