Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Valuation Manager or Senior Manager to join their growing Valuation Services team. As a Senior Manager, you will play a key role in managing complex valuation engagements, leading a team of professionals, and providing strategic valuation insights to clients. You will work closely with partners and senior leadership to support business growth, ensure quality control, and foster client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Valuation Engagements: Manage and oversee the execution of business valuation projects for clients across various industries, including financial reporting, M&A transactions, litigation support, and tax-related matters. Ensure accurate and thorough valuation analyses and reporting.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing expert valuation advice and demonstrating an understanding of their business needs. Serve as the primary contact for clients throughout the valuation process.
Team Leadership & Development: Supervise and mentor a team of junior valuation professionals, providing guidance on project execution, technical aspects of valuation, and career development. Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
Technical Expertise & Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis, business assessments, and apply appropriate valuation methodologies (market, income, and asset-based approaches). Ensure that all valuation reports meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
Quality Control & Compliance: Review and approve valuation reports, ensuring that they comply with professional standards, regulatory guidelines, and firm policies. Maintain a focus on risk management and ensure that all deliverables are thoroughly vetted and meet client expectations
Thought Leadership & Industry Awareness: Stay current on valuation trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments. Contribute to firm-wide knowledge-sharing initiatives and help position the firm as a leader in the valuation field.
Internal Collaboration: Work closely with other service lines, such as tax, audit, and consulting, to offer integrated solutions to clients and contribute to cross-functional projects.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, MS in Finance, etc.) is preferred.
Certifications: Professional designation such as ASA (Accredited Senior Appraiser), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst), or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is heavily desired.
Experience: A minimum of 7 years of experience in business valuation, financial analysis, or related advisory services, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role. Experience with a variety of industries and valuation types is highly desirable.
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of valuation methodologies, financial modeling, and familiarity with valuation software tools. Experience with M&A transactions, financial reporting, and litigation support is a plus.
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage, develop, and lead teams effectively. Strong mentoring and coaching skills are essential.
Client-Focused: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex valuation concepts to clients clearly and professionally. Ability to manage client relationships and work effectively in a client-facing role.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Expected Compensation:
Base Salary: $160,000 - $180,000
Bonus: $10,000 - $30,000
