A leading High Frequency Trading Firm in the Greater Philadelphia area is looking for experienced and highly-skilled software developers to join a number of their middle and back office teams. Not only is the firm a leader in the industry, they are also well renowned for their tight-knit culture and collaborative environment.
The firm is looking for senior software engineers with 5+ YOE to design, develop, implement, and scale their non-investment related technology in C#. This could include post-trade, accounting, trade booking, compliance, corporate systems technology and more. This role will include lots of hands on work as well as mentoring of junior developers to maintain performance-grade tech quality. As culture is also a main priority for the firm, they are looking for technically skilled candidates who are a strong culture fit, and are not concerned with previous experience in the financial services industry.
The ideal candidate will bring strong C# technical skills and hands-on experience bringing products through all phases of the development process, from gathering requirements to deployment and monitoring. No previous financial experience is required, but they would like to speak with candidates who interact directly with external stakeholders or end users of the products they are developing. Additionally, they are looking to speak with candidates who have strong commercial acumen, and enjoy working in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Do backend development to build platforms and systems to optimize middle office processes in C#
- Develop and innovate software to track and process large data sets
- Build and maintain technology to provide operational support for front-office individuals
- Collaborate closely with other middle and front office teams to ensure high quality performance across the firm
Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in C#
- 5+ years of professional experience
- Experience bringing a product from 0 -1 or end-to-end development experience
- Ability to work in office in the Greater Philadelphia area multiple times a week
- Computer Science/Engineering background
- Passion for, or desire to learn financial market
