Our client is a leading global quantitative trading company, developing and implementing quantitative trading strategies in exchange-traded financial products. With offices in America, Asia and Europe, they are currently growing their London office and are looking for an experienced FPGA engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as an FPGA engineer, working in the industry as this is a new office and requires the candidate to be able to work autonomously.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop effective FPGA designs and verifications based on functional requirements.
- Translate key trading ideas and commercial knowledge into appropriate solutions.
Essential requirements:
- Expert knowledge of FPGA/ASIC design and verification with commercial experience in the finance sector.
- Experience developing reusable Ips and scaling to multiple target platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of either System Verilog / Verilog / VHDL.
- In-depth knowledge of common FPGA tools.
- Knowledge of C/C++ required, CMake is a bonus.
- Familiarity with common scripting languages (TCL / Python / Bash).
- Working experience with high-speed transceivers, common networking protocols, and packet processing is preferred.
