As an Associate in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) team, you will play a critical role in driving significant deals and shaping the future of some of the most dynamic sectors in the market.
The TMT team has built a reputation for executing innovative transactions across the technology, media, and telecom industries. With a focus on high-impact, strategic advisory, they work closely with executives, founders, and institutional clients to provide tailored solutions that achieve their long-term goals.
Role Overview:
As an Investment Banking Associate within the TMT team, you will be involved in all aspects of the deal process, from pitching to execution. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment and contribute to the success of major mergers, acquisitions, capital raising, and other strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Interaction: Collaborate with senior bankers and clients to understand their strategic objectives and provide insights and recommendations across M&A, capital raising, and other financial advisory mandates.
- Deal Execution: Lead financial modeling, valuation analysis, due diligence, and the preparation of pitch materials and client presentations. Manage day-to-day aspects of live transactions, ensuring a smooth execution process.
- Market Research: Conduct comprehensive industry research and financial analysis to support business development and strategic initiatives.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor junior bankers (Analysts), providing guidance and oversight to ensure high-quality work and professional growth.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate relationships with clients, potential investors, and other key stakeholders, helping to maintain the firm's reputation for excellence in TMT advisory.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 3-4 years of prior experience as an Investment Banking Analyst (or equivalent) within TMT with exposure to high-profile transactions in technology, media, or telecommunications.
- Education: A strong academic background, typically a degree from a top-tier university. An MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Advanced financial modeling and valuation expertise, including proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with financial databases (e.g., Capital IQ, Bloomberg).
- Analytical Abilities: Exceptional quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with a keen ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas, analysis, and deal materials to clients and internal teams.
