The role of Assistant Vice President for Business Intelligence involves overseeing and leading various critical BI systems and services, including Tableau Cloud, Alteryx, and SAP Business Object. The AVP will provide both personnel and technological leadership, aiming to enhance and optimize data visualization and analytics capabilities. With a wealth of experience across a range of BI tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, and SAP Business Objects, the AVP will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data and operations engineers, delivery managers, and IT teams to support the company's data visualization and analytics strategy. Additionally, the AVP will oversee system performance and architecture, collaborating with DevOps engineers to establish CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment of BI systems and services. This role requires a motivated individual with strong leadership, technical proficiency, data expertise, and excellent communication and collaboration skills to address diverse challenges effectively.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee Tableau Cloud administration, enabling users to publish, share, and manage data sources and workbooks.
- Manage Tableau data sources and monitor usage and performance.
- Administer Alteryx Server and ensure its reliability and performance.
- Administer SAP Business Object Server for optimal operation.
- Manage user access and permissions across all BI systems.
- Develop complex SQL code for reporting purposes.
- Monitor data quality and enhance security and audit practices.
- Provide support for various BI tools including Tableau, Alteryx, and SAP BO.
- Configure BI Server for external authentication using SAML 2.0.
- Design and customize security architecture for user groups and access levels.
- Set up and optimize Distributed Server environments for load balancing.
- Create automated scripts for Tableau workbook refresh.
- Maintain and monitor BI systems using appropriate tools.
- Implement LDAPS for authentication on Linux tableau server.
- Analyze data to derive key metrics and insights for decision-making.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and department heads to leverage data for organizational success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Tableau administration and data management.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Alteryx administration.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP Business Object administration.
- Familiarity with AWS technologies.
- Proficiency in advanced BI, data science, and statistical analysis.
- Knowledge of best practices in Tableau, Alteryx, and SAP BO administration.
- Experience with Agile software development using JIRA.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows systems.
- Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases.
- Understanding of Incident Response and Change Management life cycles.
