**Assistant Actuary - LTC Opportunity in Minneapolis**

My client, a reputable Life and Annuity Insurance company is seeking an Assistant Actuary to join their Financial Reporting team and will play a key role in supporting the actuarial team in all aspects of financial reporting, including statutory, GAAP, and IFRS reporting. As an integral part of this team, your responsibilities will include:
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of Statutory, GAAP, and IFRS financial reports for life and annuity product
- Perform reserve calculations, including Deferred Acquisition Costs (DAC) and reserve adequacy testing
- Support the development of financial projections and regulatory filing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Valuation, and Risk Management to ensure accuracy in reporting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation preferred, or significant progress toward designation
- 2-4 years of actuarial experience in life insurance or reinsurance, with a focus on financial reporting or valuation
- Strong understanding of Statutory, GAAP, and/or IFRS accounting principles
- Experience with actuarial modeling software (AXIS, Prophet, etc.) is a plus
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
