They are seeking a talented Senior Actuarial Associate to join their Valuation team. As a Senior Actuarial Associate, you will focus on the Fixed Index Annuity and Deferred Annuity lines of business, as well as GAAP valuation. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish reserves and related balances for the Fixed Index Annuity and Deferred Annuity lines of business under the GAAP accounting basis.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state valuation regulations for the product lines.
- Review and analyze quarterly reserve and balance movements for presentation to management and finance teams.
- Manage the monthly production of reserves for GAAP valuation.
- Prepare, review, and analyze reserve movements.
- Maintain and enhance valuation controls, ensuring timely execution.
- Update and maintain valuation programs to reflect new products and regulations.
- Stay informed of new regulations and industry requirements.
Experience and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, actuarial science, or a related technical field.
- ASA designation required; FSA and MAAA preferred.
- 4+ years of actuarial experience with increasing responsibility.
- Strong understanding of insurance company income statements and balance sheets.
- Experience in maintaining a robust control environment.
- Proven experience with the valuation of indexed products.
- Familiarity with GGY-AXIS or similar actuarial modeling software is preferred.
