Position Overview: Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cyber Underwriter to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cyber risks and insurance, with a proven track record in underwriting complex cyber policies. This role involves evaluating and underwriting cyber insurance risks, developing and maintaining strong broker relationships, and contributing to the growth and profitability of the cyber insurance portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and underwrite complex cyber insurance risks, ensuring adherence to underwriting guidelines and standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Analyze and assess risk exposures, pricing, and coverage terms for cyber insurance policies.
  • Collaborate with the claims and risk management teams to monitor and manage the performance of the cyber insurance portfolio.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging cyber threats, and regulatory changes to inform underwriting decisions.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior underwriters and support staff.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of underwriting strategies and initiatives.
  • Prepare and present underwriting reports and recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cyber underwriting or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of cyber risks, insurance products, and market trends.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional designations such as CPCU, ARM, or similar are preferred.
