Job Title: Senior Cyber/Tech E&O Underwriter
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cyber/Tech Errors & Omissions (E&O) Underwriter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cyber risks, technology errors and omissions, and the insurance market. This role involves evaluating and underwriting complex risks, developing and maintaining strong broker relationships, and contributing to the growth and profitability of our cyber and tech E&O portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Risk Assessment: Evaluate and underwrite complex cyber and tech E&O risks, ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and standards.
- Portfolio Management: Manage and grow a profitable book of business, identifying opportunities for new business and renewal retention.
- Broker Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, providing exceptional service and support.
- Market Analysis: Stay current with market trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes to inform underwriting decisions.
- Policy Development: Collaborate with the product development team to create and enhance policy wordings and coverage options.
- Claims Collaboration: Work closely with the claims team to understand loss trends and incorporate insights into underwriting strategies.
- Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior underwriters, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of underwriting experience in cyber and tech E&O insurance.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field. Professional designations such as CPCU, RPLU, or similar are preferred.
- Skills: Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to assess complex risks and make sound underwriting decisions.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of cyber risks, technology errors and omissions, and the insurance market.
- Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
