Quantitative Risk Analyst (m/w/d)
My client company is a leading renewable energy company in Germany, currently looking to add a Quantitative Risk Analyst to their team based in Hamburg.
You will have a 50:50 split on your WFH/WFO flexibility.
Main responsibilities:
- Collaborating with trading desk to manage energy trading risks.
- Growing and developing the PPA business, and serving at the primary risk management contact.
- Working cross functionally with other departments (Trading Desk, Credit Risk Management, DevOps, etc).
- Assessing and developing new trading strategies and products, and providing ad hoc analyses and evaluations.
Your profile:
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Business Mathematics or similarly related fields.
- Proven experience working with modelling and stochastic models (option pricing, VaR) and programming (Python, VBA, SQL).
- Prior experience working in either: Utilities, Renewable Energy (Gas/LNG), or Financial Services (Options/Hedging) industry.
- Fluency in English (C1), and ideally German (min. B1 fluent).
