Modeling Actuary

Responsibilities
- Lead actuarial model development for valuation, cash-flow testing, and pricing for fixed and indexed annuity products.
- Develop and refine modeling techniques to support financial planning and analysis, driving executive decision-making.
- Establish model control processes to govern assumption updates, model improvements, and programming changes.
- Build strong relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders across various functional areas of the company.
- Translate complex actuarial concepts into clear, concise communication for non-actuarial audiences, both in writing and verbally.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, actuarial science, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or related field with 4+ years of actuarial experience. Strong academic background is a plus.
- ASA/FSA designation; Life/Annuity track preferred but not required.
- Expert proficiency in MS Office and Moody's AXIS.
- Solid experience with life and/or annuity products and related actuarial functions (valuation, CFT, pricing, etc.). US-specific experience (Stat and/or GAAP) preferred. Experience with reinsurance is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Comfort with a steep learning curve and enthusiasm for working in a high-energy startup environment.
