Market Risk Manager - Equities
An industry-leading clearinghouse is seeking mid-senior market risk talent in the Jersey City office. The company provides liquidity to the market and removes risk between counter-parties, they operate between banks, hedge funds, asset managers, and prop trading firms and are integral to the market. With ~$3 trillion USD in trades flowing through their books each day, this role will be focused on monitoring daily margin calculations, managing market risk for equities.
The Role:
- Team lead for equity market risk associates across all company offices
- Evaluate changes in member's market risk exposures, liquidity needs and settlement obligations
- Manage market risk for trades settled at the clearinghouse, and another clearing corporation
- Manage any issues that may arise resulting from regulatory exams, risk assessments, working with clients to develop and implement remediation plans
- Manage 3-4 direct reports
Qualifications:
- 8 years of equity market risk coverage
- Deep understanding of the equity markets
- Previous managerial experience
- Understanding of risk margining models, VaR, Monte Carlo analysis, expected shortfall models
