Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Director / Junior Partner in Debt Advisory to join their dynamic team in London. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lending or debt advisory, with proven fee generation capabilities and a robust UK-focused network. This role is pivotal in driving their middle market debt advisory services and expanding their regional presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Debt Advisory Expertise: Utilise your extensive experience in lending or debt advisory to provide strategic guidance and solutions to clients.
- Fee Generation: Demonstrate strong capabilities in generating fees through successful deal closures and client engagements.
- Network Development: Leverage your UK-focused network, including private equity contacts, to identify and secure new business opportunities.
- Middle Market Focus: Apply your knowledge of the middle market to tailor advisory services that meet the specific needs of our clients.
- Team Building: Recruit and mentor junior team members, ensuring they are well-integrated and productive once the team is up and running.
- Venture Capital Introductions: Facilitate introductions to venture capital with Daniel, including organising and attending in-person meetings.
- Regional Expansion: Drive efforts to expand their debt advisory services regionally, setting and achieving growth targets.
- Deal Management: Manage and close a minimum of 1-2 deals in your first year, ensuring high-quality service delivery and client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in lending or debt advisory (10-15 years preferred).
- Strong fee generation track record.
- Extensive UK-focused network, including private equity contacts.
- Deep understanding of the middle market.
- Leadership skills with the ability to build and manage a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic mindset with a focus on regional expansion.
