Healthcare Data Analyst
Our client, a leading insurance organization, is seeking a Healthcare Data Analyst to join their team. This role focuses on analyzing healthcare claims data to support underwriting decisions, risk assessment, and pricing strategies in the stop-loss and managed care insurance space.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize healthcare claims data and internal tools to generate insights for underwriting and risk selection.
- Conduct initial underwriting assessments, evaluate risk factors, and provide pricing recommendations.
- Collaborate with senior underwriters to develop proposal terms and refine offers based on new information.
- Manage the request-for-proposal process and maintain organized underwriting records.
- Assist underwriting teams with research and analysis to enhance decision-making processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least five years of experience working with healthcare claims data in an underwriting, claims, or data analysis role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in both independent and team settings.
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to take initiative and adapt to new challenges.
- Minimal travel required.
