Selby Jennings is partnered with a Middle Market Investment Bank in Los Angeles well known for their sell-side M&A practice. This office is home to many of the Senior Leaders within the business, and is know for having a strong team comprised of amicable, sharp, and diverse individuals with a track record of success.
This bank is currently seeking an Investment Banking Analyst to work on sell side M&A transaction as a Generalist. Ideal candidates come from similar mid-market Investment Banks with deep experience in sell-side M&A.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed financial analysis, including valuation, financial modeling, and due diligence.
- Prepare pitch books, presentations, and other marketing materials for client meetings.
- Assist in the execution of transactions, including drafting transaction documents and coordinating with clients and other advisors.
- Perform industry and company research to support business development and client engagement efforts.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, financial news, and economic data to provide insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with team members across different departments to ensure seamless execution of projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Prior internship or work experience in investment banking, finance, or related fields is a plus.
