Selby Jennings is partnered with a Elite Boutique Investment Bank in San Francisco well known for their practice, and know to pay top of street. This group is comprised of Managing Directors coming from top banks, and is adding a Software M&A Investment Banking Managing Director to bolster their name in the space. This platform and is know for having a strong team comprised of amicable, sharp, and diverse individuals with a track record of success.

This bank is currently seeking a Software Investment Banking Vice President to work on sell side M&A transactions working as a Generalist. Ideal candidates come from similar Elite Boutique or Bulge Bracket Investment Banks with deep experience in s M&A.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic advisory transactions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing strategic advice and insights.
  • Oversee financial analysis and modeling, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations and pitch materials for client meetings.
  • Conduct due diligence and industry research to identify potential opportunities and risks.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including legal, compliance, and regulatory teams, to ensure seamless transaction execution.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Monitor market trends and provide strategic insights to senior management and clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
  • 6-8 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and executing complex transactions.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Team player with a proactive and positive attitude.
