Job Opportunity: Assistant Vice President (AVP), Professional Liability

We specialize in the excess and surplus (E&S) lines market, partnering with brokers and wholesale agents across the U.S. to provide tailored insurance solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy: Lead and refine the Architects & Engineers E&O product, aligning with company strategy and market trends.
  • Production & Underwriting: Achieve goals through broker networks, developing guidelines and strategies for profitability and growth.
  • Broker Relationships: Maintain strong broker relationships, driving submissions and new business.
  • Risk & Pricing: Oversee risk selection, pricing, and policy construction, adjusting strategies with actuarial support.
  • Market Presence: Represent the company at industry events, acting as the product line's face.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and develop junior underwriters, fostering professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Professional Liability with a focus on Architects & Engineers E&O
  • Strong existing network of wholesale brokers with demonstrated ability to drive production.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
  • Advanced certifications such as CPCU, RPLU, or ARM are a plus.
