Job Description:
The firm is seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented Alternative Investments Associate to assist in the management of their private market investment strategies. In this role, you will work closely with senior investment professionals to conduct thorough investment research, assist in portfolio construction, and provide valuable insights and recommendations on new investment opportunities.
As an Alternative Investments Associate, you will play a key role in helping to deliver innovative, tailored solutions for their clients while contributing to the overall success of the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
Investment Research & Due Diligence:
Conduct in-depth due diligence and analysis of private market investment opportunities across asset classes, including private equity, private credit, real estate, and other alternative investments. This includes financial modeling, performance analysis, and risk assessments.Portfolio Management Support:
Assist in the ongoing monitoring, analysis, and optimization of client portfolios, ensuring they align with investment objectives, risk tolerance, and market conditions.Client Relationship Management:
Support client-facing teams by providing comprehensive investment materials, presenting findings, and addressing client inquiries. Assist in preparing presentations, investment reports, and market updates.Market Trends & Insights:
Stay up to date on market trends, new investment vehicles, and emerging sectors in private markets to provide valuable insights for both portfolio construction and client discussions.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., legal, compliance, operations) to ensure smooth execution of investment strategies and alignment with regulatory requirements.Investment Strategy Development:
Assist senior team members in the development of new investment strategies and tailored solutions for clients, leveraging market knowledge and innovative thinking.
Qualifications:
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.Experience:
2-4 years of experience in alternative investments, private equity, private credit, or other related fields. Experience in asset management, wealth management, or consulting is highly preferred.Skills & Competencies:
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Knowledge of alternative asset classes, investment strategies, and markets
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of portfolio management software and data analytics tools is a plus
