Our client is a global leader in oil and petroleum trading, with a significant presence across Asia, Europe, and the USA. They are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Trade Finance Manager to join their dynamic team in Singapore. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your trade finance expertise in the commodities sector, driving efficient trade operations while mitigating financial risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimize Trade Operations: Utilize your expertise in trade finance to enhance the efficiency of trade operations and mitigate associated financial risks, ensuring smooth transactions.
- LC Management: Manage and negotiate Letter of Credit (LC) formats with trading counterparties, ensuring compliance with both local regulations and company guidelines.
- Trade Finance Structures: Demonstrate proficiency in common trade finance structures, such as Back to Back and Front to Back LC structures. Negotiate facility structures, limits, and security arrangements with financial institutions.
- Documentation & Bank Negotiation: Independently manage all necessary documents for LC applications and bank negotiations, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- KYC & Compliance: Oversee account opening and updates, and manage Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures with banks to maintain compliance with regulations.
- LC Discounting Monitoring: Monitor LC discounting activities, ensuring timely and accurate fund crediting into relevant accounts.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in Commodity Trade Finance, with a deep understanding of Oil & Gas Trade Finance specifically.
- Leadership: Proven experience in managing a team, demonstrating strong leadership and collaboration skills to drive success within the trade finance department.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong familiarity with the complexities of the oil & petroleum trading industry, including the nuances of financial transactions within the sector.
