Key Responsibilities

• Establish and shape our presence in the E&S lines market.
• Quote and release new E&S business referred by underwriting algorithms or exceeding user authority thresholds.
• Analyze and approve policy changes, ensuring compliance with guidelines and regulations.
• Stay updated with E&S state insurance regulations and ISO rules within your territory.
• Maintain open, transparent communication with team members and partners.
• Monitor E&S portfolio via reports, audits, and inspections.
• Support marketing efforts.
• Complete special projects and assignments.
• Travel as necessary (<10%).

Basic Requirements

• 5+ years of E&S underwriting/insurance experience (habitational experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of E&S insurance products, coverages, and underwriting principles.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience preferred.
• Retail agency relationship preferred.
• Curiosity, hardworking, self-accountable, positive attitude, humble, and fun.
• Open to sharing and receiving opinions.
• Passion for acquiring, retaining, and sharing knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Must be located in the Midwest, preferably Chicago, IL.
