Role: IT Risk Officer
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands

As an IT Risk Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security of an international bank's landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance and execute control capabilities.
  • Identify and assess IT risks in collaboration with various departments.
  • Lead IT risk management activities and ensure compliance with IT risk frameworks and policies.
  • Design, plan, and manage interventions to further professionalize IT Risk & Compliance.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IT Risk procedures and processes, providing proactive support to stakeholders.
  • Establish and execute IT Risk through policies, guidelines, process improvements, and assurance, considering applicable laws and regulations.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Ensure IT landscape compliance with external regulations and internal policies.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, developments, and opportunities in IT Risk, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Address IT colleagues and management on risks related to quality and compliance.
  • Create risk profiles and mitigations, and establish and monitor measurable KPIs, including first-line controls.
  • Provide both solicited and unsolicited advice and improvement proposals.

Key Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Extensive experience in a similar role (e.g. (IT) audit and/or IT risk management) and coordinating with various stakeholders.
  • Experience with complex IT infrastructures and customer processes.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends, developments, and opportunities in IT Risk & Compliance, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with different organizational levels.
