Head of Sales

A leading investment firm is seeking a Head of Sales to enhance their sales support framework and lead the sales team.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing daily operational execution and service delivery to support distribution partners, cross-border distribution efforts, and compliance with Luxembourg and local market regulations.
  • Managing and servicing distributors and other service partners, while leading a team of professionals.
  • Fostering a high-performance, harmonious culture by ensuring employees are supported with best practices and resources.
  • Overseeing the internal and external distribution network and service offering, ensuring distribution and marketing needs are met while ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Implementing and managing the company's Fund Distribution Strategy, assisting with or managing the assessment of local market entry, and managing registration and authorization activities.
  • Assisting promoters in analyzing their distribution model to anticipate marketing methods and potential regulatory hurdles.
  • Participating in initial and ongoing due diligence oversight and AML assessment of external distributors, partners, or providers.
  • Negotiating distribution and other agreements.
  • Managing data and document needs of partners, including required regulator reporting, and maintenance of the company's and fund's website.
  • Interacting with client servicing teams to collect all necessary information and documents.
  • Reporting to the Management Committee and the Board of Directors, and creating a dashboard to monitor distribution activity.
  • Utilizing strong analytical skills to assess market trends and make data-driven decisions.
  • Drafting and updating detailed departmental procedures covering all operational aspects.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Staying updated with industry developments and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and competitive advantage.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Finance, Law, or a related field.
  • Expertise in funds industry, and its relevant regulations.
  • 10+ years of experience, with at least 5+ in Luxembourg.
  • Established knowledge of the distribution event and local markets network.
  • Team management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, adaptable to various audiences.
  • Highly organized with a collaborative and client-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage projects and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Ability to work with team spirit in an international and multicultural environment.
  • Understanding of the entire asset management value chain.
