Ferrous Trader
My client is an established international trading company in Singapore. We are seeking an experienced trader to develop and execute physical trades in Iron Ore & Metallics (Ferrous Scrap, Pig Iron, HBI), focusing on non-India sourcing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute trades, ensuring accuracy in trading systems.
- Develop and maintain global supplier and buyer relationships.
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Operations on contracts, L/Cs, shipping, and logistics.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the trading network.
- Work closely with Market Risk and Credit teams to ensure compliance.
- Monitor market trends, supply-demand dynamics, and pricing strategies.
- Provide regular market insights and financial reports
Key requirements
- Experience: min. 5 years of experience in global trading of iron ore or metallics.
- Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of iron ore and metal scrap commodities, value chain, and pricing mechanisms
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
