Chartering Manager
Your main duties and responsibilities are as follows:
* Analyse the freight market to review existing trends and develop new strategies based on supply and demand.
* Assist in the development of framework and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to manage business risk in chartering operations.
* Manage performance of chartering business to optimise cost and efficiency for the business.
* Implement workflow improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and optimize resource utilization.
* Handle the negotiations of ship chartering with brokers, vessel owners, operators.
* Working closely with commercial team to issue contract after trade are validated. Negotiate contract terms with supplier and customer.
* Handle end to end vessel operation; oversee the daily operations of shipping activities, including cargo handling, vessel scheduling, and port operations.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, safety standards, and company procedures.
* Work on the resolution of discrepancies, issues promptly
* Calculation of laytime and settling demurrage and insurance of shipments handled.
* Draft the L/C format and negotiate L/C terms. Handling full set of shipping documents after the vessel completed loading.
* Follow up the shipment and payment status (including receivable and payable), ensure timely processing of cargo payments and freight payments.
* Accurate, logical & precise and good team worker, due diligent
* Attention for details and ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner both externally and internally.
* High level of proactiveness and have strong sense of responsibility and ownership
