Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced P&C Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our team, focusing on risk monitoring, profitability analysis, and key actuarial functions. This role involves conducting in-depth reviews of insurance product profitability, assessing portfolio risk, and collaborating with various teams to support sound underwriting and pricing decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market and competitor research, particularly focusing on rate filings.
- Support rate filing activities, including indications, base rate changes, and monitoring.
- Develop and maintain filing exhibits and regulatory requirement documents.
- Implement quality control processes to ensure accuracy in actuarial filings.
- Train and mentor team members on rating methodologies and filing techniques.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with underwriting, finance, and data analytics teams to align on product goals and refine risk management strategies.
- Present findings to senior leadership, translating complex actuarial insights into actionable recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Completion of actuarial exams with ACAS or FCAS preferred
- 5+ years of actuarial experience in the insurance industry, particularly in Property & Casualty (P&C).
- Expertise in risk assessment, monitoring, and profitability analysis.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in actuarial modeling software (e.g., R, SAS, Python) and Excel.
