Our client is multi-strategy hedge fund based in the heart of Midtown Manhattan that is actively looking for a Windows Systems Engineer to join their rapidly growing Infrastructure Technology department. This team is autonomous, lean, and agile and will give you the freedom to build & implement as you wish. Key Responsibilities:
- Azure Migrations: Lead and support projects involving migrations from on-premises to Azure cloud environments, including hybrid cloud to full cloud transitions.
- Citrix and VMware Upgrades: Manage and execute upgrade projects for Citrix (FSLogix) and VMware environments, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.
- Cisco UCS Upgrades: Plan and implement upgrades for Cisco UCS infrastructure, ensuring system stability and performance.
- Automation and Scripting: Utilize PowerShell and other Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) tools to automate processes, build scalable solutions, and improve operational efficiency.
- Active Directory and O365 Management: Oversee Active Directory and Office 365 environments, including the transition from on-premises Exchange to O365. Provide expertise in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) deployment and management.
- Storage Management: Manage and optimize Pure Storage systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
- System Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex system issues, providing expert-level support and ensuring system reliability.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with Azure cloud migrations and management.
- Strong knowledge of Citrix (FSLogix) and VMware upgrade processes.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco UCS infrastructure upgrades.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Solid understanding of Active Directory and Office 365 fundamentals.
- Experience with Pure Storage is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
