Job Description: The Senior Financial Accountant will oversee financial operations for entities in the Netherlands and potentially other EMEA jurisdictions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective financial control, and compliance with regulations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accuracy of financial results and compliance with Dutch/local GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS.
  • Produce statutory accounts and adhere to tax filing deadlines.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
  • Establish and maintain internal control systems and procedures.
  • Provide financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic planning.
  • Mentor the offshore accounting team and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
  • Implement process improvements and ensure effective use of financial systems.
  • Review outgoing payment batches and optimize cash position.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Control, or Auditing.
  • Experience in Big 4 / Top 60 Practice prior to industry.
  • Substantial accounting/finance experience, including people management.
  • Knowledge of Dutch GAAP Statutory Reporting and IFRS.
  • Experience with SAP S4H and financial consolidation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to interpret large data sets and manage time effectively.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Flexible self-starter who can adapt to organizational changes.
