The Role: Quantitative Analyst
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
An impact investment fund is seeking a new Quantitative Analyst to join their growing Business Development team. The Business Development team is pivotal in driving the company's growth and long-term vision through innovation, strategic initiatives, technology, and research. This role involves identifying and executing new opportunities, gathering insights from various departments, and supporting the front office with data and strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to technology and infrastructure initiatives within the Business Development team, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Support the front office as a quantitative expert, developing and maintaining data analytics, portfolio management, and market analysis tools.
- Play a key role in the pricing infrastructure, developing and maintaining tools used by the trading team, and contributing to the development of trade and data databases.
- Validate quantitative models, provide input to relevant committees, and act as a liaison with external vendors supplying tools and platforms.
Key Requirements:
- Strong quantitative background with proficiency in programming languages such as Python and VBA (C# is a plus).
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in research, risk management, trading, or business development within a financial institution, with a focus on emerging markets.
- Experience working with development finance institutions or related organizations, with an understanding of their mission and goals.
- Advanced degree in mathematics, econometrics, or financial engineering, with a deep understanding of fixed-income and FX derivatives.
- Excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a client-focused, solution-driven approach.
