Junior Financial Controller
The organization is a distinguished family office managing an investment portfolio centered on the U.S. markets, aiming to achieve excellent returns. Role: The Junior Financial Controller will play a key role in office located in The Hague. Collaborating with a small team of six colleagues, the candidate will be instrumental in enhancing financial controlling and reporting processes. Responsibilities will include preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, along with financial statements. The candidate will create and monitor budgets and forecasts to meet financial objectives. Managing liquid assets and conducting strategic scenario analyses to support investment decisions will be part of the duties. Additionally, the candidate will handle ad hoc information requests, understanding the needs of the end user. They will also assist in buying and selling processes and participate in commercial transaction negotiations.
Qualifications:
- A completed WO education in finance or business economics.
- At least 3 years of experience in an accounting/controller role.
- Expertise in Excel and experience with Power BI, with additional knowledge of Exact Online and Google Docs and Sheets.
- Interest in the risk management aspect of investments.
- Strong personality, flexible, and pragmatic.
- Proactive and convincing communicator, ensuring optimal information provision.
- Demonstrates ownership and independence, while collaborating effectively when needed.
- Analytical, meticulous, and accurate.
- Ability to understand the story behind the figures and extract relevant information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch (ideally) and English.
