Head of Finance
A renowned investment firm in the Luxembourg market is seeking a Head of Finance to oversee and manage the financial operations of the company. This role involves leading a dedicated team of 7 finance professionals, ensuring the company's financial health and supporting its growth and profitability goals.
Responsibilities:
- Leading the finance department, including budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and analysis.
- Developing and implementing financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability goals.
- Overseeing the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Managing the company's financial reporting processes, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Conducting financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborating with senior management to develop and execute business plans and strategies.
- Ensuring effective internal controls are in place and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Managing relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.
- Overseeing the company's tax planning and compliance activities.
- Leading and developing a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
- Monitoring and managing the company's cash flow, liquidity, and working capital.
- Providing financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes.
- Staying updated with industry developments and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and competitive advantage.
- Leading and managing change effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- CPA or CFA designation is preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- 5+ years of experience in the funds industry (of any kind)
- Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior management and other stakeholders.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as ERP systems, Excel, and other relevant platforms.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Fluent in English and German; additional language skills are a plus.
