Summary
Selby Jennings is partnered with a leading High Frequency Trading Firm (HFT) looking to bring on an FPGA engineer to drive continued optimization of my clients trading systems while coordinating with technical teams throughout the organization such as development, infrastructure, research, and trading to achieve optimal performance.
In this role, you will:
- Architect and design solutions to accelerate key areas of our infrastructure including hardware selection and key functional blocks
- Implement solutions from the board to API and deploy out to a production environment
- Interact with software teams to capture and design solutions in hardware
Qualifications/Preferences for this role include:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline
- Ideally 1-3 years of experience developing hardware solutions. Higher education (Masters/Ph.D.) can be a substitute for commercial experience
- Experience with FPGA design and architecture, and the ability to translate problems into hardware solutions.
- Experience with Verilog, System Verilog or VHDL is required
- Existing knowledge of ethernet and TCP/IP is strongly preferred
- Experience within Financial services is preferred, but not required
- Experience with C/C++, Python is highly desired, but not required
Estimated Compensation Range: $150,000 - $200,000 base + Bonus
