They are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and strategic Vice President of Corporate Development to lead and drive growth across their diverse portfolio. As a senior leader within the organization, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's future by identifying new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and overseeing mergers and acquisitions (M&A) efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Growth Leadership: Develop and execute corporate development strategies to expand the company's presence within the Aerospace, Defense, and Government Services sectors. Identify emerging market opportunities, new customers, and innovative technologies to enhance our offerings.
Mergers & Acquisitions: Lead M&A activities, from identifying target companies to due diligence, negotiations, and post-acquisition integration. Drive the strategic alignment of acquisitions to maximize value and growth.
Partnerships & Alliances: Cultivate relationships with key industry players, government stakeholders, and potential business partners to form alliances that strengthen our competitive positioning in the market.
Market & Industry Insights: Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, competitor strategies, and evolving government policies to ensure the company remains agile and responsive to changes in the Aerospace, Defense, and Government Services landscape.
Leadership & Team Development: Lead a high-performing corporate development team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and results-driven performance.
Executive Communication: Collaborate with senior leadership and board members to report on corporate development initiatives, key performance metrics, and overall strategic goals.
Qualifications:
Experience: 10+ years in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or strategy roles within the Aerospace, Defense, and Government Services industries. Prior experience in leading M&A initiatives and managing large-scale strategic projects is required.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex initiatives, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Strategic Mindset: Strong strategic thinking with the ability to understand market trends and create actionable plans to capitalize on growth opportunities.
Negotiation Skills: Exceptional negotiation skills and experience in closing high-value deals with both government entities and private sector partners.
Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of government contracting, defense procurement processes, and regulatory requirements within the Aerospace & Defense sectors.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
