Service Reliability Engineer

A leading High Frequency Trading Firm is seeking a Service Reliability Engineer to join their team.

Salary: $180,000 - $200,000 base salary with discretionary bonus.

Responsibilities:
* Develop and enhance methods, procedures, and standards for transitioning applications to our Kubernetes platform.
* Collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth integration of applications into our Kubernetes environment.
* Advocate for our Kubernetes platform through demonstrations, brief talks, and presentations.
* Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
* Extensive experience in Kubernetes and Linux operations.
* Solid understanding of networking principles.
* Proficiency in automating deployments and creating image builds using CI/CD pipelines and multiple programming languages.
* Knowledge of AWS managed services (e.g., EKS, S3, EC2).
* Customer-oriented mindset: you seek to understand needs and provide the best resources and solutions without being constrained by rigid boundaries.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This role must sit in the firms Chicago office on a hybrid schedule, 3 days a week in office 2 days remote.
