Eletronic Trading Developer - Java

Our client is a leading investment bank based in NYC, and we are looking for an experienced e-trading developer to join the team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining trading systems used by institutional clients. You will work closely with traders, quantitative analysts, and other developers to create robust, low-latency, and scalable solutions for high-frequency and algorithmic trading environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain high-performance trading platforms using Java, ensuring low-latency and high throughput in a real-time trading environment.
  • Design, implement, and optimize trading algorithms, risk management, and order execution systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including traders, quantitative analysts, and infrastructure engineers, to gather requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Work on integrating third-party APIs, market data feeds, and exchange connections to ensure seamless communication with financial markets.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in software development using Java, with a focus on performance optimization and scalability.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, trading systems, and the fundamentals of algorithmic trading.
  • Experience with real-time and low-latency systems, including handling high-throughput data streams.
  • Proficiency with multithreading, concurrency, and distributed systems.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and best practices in software development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
