Senior Operations Executive

Our client is a Singapore-based CMS regulated Asset Management firm. They are looking for a Senior Operations Executive, please find the details below.

There are four main pillars to this role: Fund Management Operations, External Asset Management Operations, Automisation, and Operational Risk Controls.

Fund Management Operations

  • Administer the complete trade lifecycle, encompassing trade entry, settlement, and reconciliation for company portfolios.
  • Supervise investor subscription and redemption processes, handle cash flow activities, and document capital transactions.
  • Conduct shadow NAV computations, oversee fee accruals, and verify valuations to ensure precise fund accounting.
  • Liaise with fund administrators, custodians, and counterparties to address operational concerns.
  • Compile and evaluate investor communications and regulatory filings (e.g., MAS, FATCA, CRS).
  • Facilitate annual fund audits by preparing relevant documents and interfacing with auditors to guarantee timely execution.
  • Participate in miscellaneous projects as required.

External Asset Management (EAM) Operations

  • Review transactions and ensure reconciliation of EAM portfolios managed with private banks and custodians.
  • Execute client directives, update portfolios, and calculate fees.
  • Collaborate closely with investment teams and relationship managers to streamline client onboarding and provide seamless account management.

Optimization and Automation of Processes

  • Detect inefficiencies in operations and recommend technology-driven solutions utilizing Python, VBA, or SQL.
  • Create scripts and dashboards to reduce repetitive tasks and bolster data accuracy.
  • Investigate the application of AI or low-code/no-code tools to simplify workflows and boost efficiency.
  • Partner with vendors or internal technical teams to implement system upgrades or drive digital transformation projects.

Operational Risk and Controls

  • Maintain updated standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal control protocols.
  • Report exceptions or discrepancies and expedite their resolution.
  • Support both internal and external audits, compliance evaluations, and risk monitoring initiatives.
