Fund Structurer Associate

Our client, a Tier 1 Investment Bank is adding to its structuring capabilities within their Investment Management business. They are looking to recruit an associate/VP who can support the day to day running of the desk.

The team develops and implements structured solutions, including fund solutions and investment mandates, to meet client needs. The role is based in London, with occasional regional transactions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Contribute to structuring and developing new funds from idea generation to launch.

  • Project manage new launches, coordinating internal approvals and stakeholder communication.
  • Prepare and review documentation for new funds and solutions
  • Engage with stakeholders on fund and platform requirements.
  • Contribute to pipeline prioritization and platform changes.
  • Lead governance activities, ensuring compliance with regulations and Bank policies.
  • Enhance reporting and manage policy documentation.
  • Support distributor onboarding, due diligence, governance approvals, and contract negotiation.

  • Coordinate country registrations for marketing activities.

  • Ensure a robust control framework and continuous improvement of outputs.
  • Coordinate due diligence requests to service providers and distributors.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, infrastructure partners, and service providers to ensure all risks are managed and approvals obtained.
  • Utilize strong problem-solving and analytical skills to meet investor needs and interpret regulations.
  • Apply technical knowledge across regulatory, legal, and compliance areas to support decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, risk management frameworks, and the Bank's policies.

Person Specification

  • 5+ years in financial services, with experience in structuring, product development, or product specialist roles.
  • Technical background to understand and prepare fund documentation; knowledge of derivatives and quantitative strategies is a plus.
  • Experience in asset management or transferable skills in platform roles.
  • Proactive, dynamic, and collaborative personality.
  • Quick learner, adaptable, inquisitive, and detail-oriented.

Essential Skills/Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of asset management and investment knowledge.
  • Hands-on attitude and team spirit.

Desirable Skills/Qualifications

  • Specialized knowledge in equities and equity derivatives.
  • Asset management experience.
