Financial Controller
A leading cryptocurrency exchange platform is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations along with the CFO, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and contributing to the company's financial strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report variances.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance and support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Manage financial risk and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
Requirements:
- Proven working experience as a Financial Controller or similar role.
- Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- Previous experience in Financial Services, ideally in the digital assets space.
- Interested in cryptocurrencies and digital assets.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions.
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
