A leading hedge fund platform is seeking an accomplished Business Developer to join its Capital Development team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in expanding investor relationships and raising capital for both the firm and its partner funds.

The Role

The successful candidate will be instrumental in building and managing relationships with investors, including institutional allocators and family offices. Working closely with the Head of Strategic Initiatives, they will identify prospective investors, develop existing relationships, and support capital-raising efforts for the firm's partner funds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage prospective investors, managing the process through to onboarding.
  • Develop and strengthen existing investor relationships to drive further capital commitments.
  • Clearly articulate the firm's value proposition to investors and allocators.
  • Assess partner funds' potential to attract external capital and engage with early-stage investors.
  • Act as a product specialist, supporting fundraising efforts with tailored presentations and messaging.
  • Represent the firm externally, building trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and risk considerations in capital-raising activities.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in raising capital for hedge funds with a strong track record.
  • Existing relationships with hedge fund investors and allocators (European/Asian markets and family offices preferred).
  • Deep understanding of hedge fund strategies and ability to communicate complex fund structures.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and numeracy skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with high integrity, intellectual curiosity, and determination.
  • Ability to design bespoke investor solutions and think strategically about market opportunities.
